Hello all folki, an this is a little story that may be of some small intrest to any oof ye who have been lookin an got to the point where ya thought ya was never gunna find what ya was lookin for, that it was all make believe or just a myth or somthin.

Well now it started this way, i,ve known all o my life as how we was gypsy peoples coz me mammy tolt me so right from the beggining, an that was many years gone by an at a time when ya didnt do youself any favours by admittin that thing.

Now me mammy tolt me how the famly name was Kilby an she tolt me some histry of our people that i never forgot an i always knew as how one day i would solve the riddle o what happend to them.

Anyways, a couple o months ago the baby,s (wifes ) sister died an lot o people came over from ireland for funral.
Among them was our neece, one young woman name Christina, an she does readings for people, but dont make toomuch of habit of it for she says when people find out she has this gift that they has her harassed so she keeps it fairly quiet.

We was all sat round our big ol kitchen table night before they was all ready for goin back yonder an she tolt few o the family diffrent things that she says is goin to happen. Now, her eye kept strayin to me an she asks, what is it ya wants to know ,for i know theres sumthin thats important to you an i think as i have the answer for ya. I thought for a while an i knew as how the question i wanted to ask was already in me head so i says to her, Christina, you know as i,m from gypsy famly but we never talked about it for it just never realy cropped up so the question i.ll put to ya is this. Will i ever hear from this part o my famly? She ansered strait off an she says, Yes, you,ll hear from your own people an it will be within the next couple o months. Thats how definate she was.

So, time went by and after a bit i never thouht no more bout it until couple o weeks gone by an i was cuttin an ol willow tree down in me veggie garden at side o the house. Well, i looked up an this young fella bout mid 20,s was walkin down twards me an i could tell strait off b just by the gimp of him that he was a traveller an when he opent his mouth to speak i knew him for an irish tinker.

Can i help ya by toppin out that ol tree he says, an it wont cost ya much coz we have the chain saws in the van.
Well now i said, i thank ya kindly but i,m aimin to do it me,self but sit here a while an i,ll have a word with ya.

Now we sits an we talked very easy bout all various things an people who we both knew an he laugh at all the gypsy people that we had in coman, then i asks, do ya know of any Kilby people an his hole way changed an he says, What do you know of any by that name. Itold him about my famly an he says, ya better come up the way an meet me father in law who,s doin a deal wi a fella over a van.

When we meet, me an this kids father in law we looks each othe over an shakes hands an the young fella says, meet ya brother in law coz its a small world an this is a Kilby that ya bin lookin for all this time.

It came out that this Kilby,s family had come up originally from bedfordshire same as my people an when i tolt him i,d looked for em on internet he just laugh an said as how they was still on road an had no use for computer an things like that.

This chap looked much like me couzin Joe but more dark skined an he told me many things that would ony be of intrest to me or mine but he did say as how theres penty Kilby still out there an many of em in Leeds.

Anyways, i,ve just written this to let any folki on here know that if ya keep believin then things like this can an do happen
so, keep the faith an ya never know. all the best----kilby---

My dear friend Kilby I have just read your story, and liked it very much, because in this few months,A Gypsy web site in Sweden by the name of Romsknet, read my book {the memories of a Gypsy} and the administration of that web side happens to be my far relitive,he read in my book that I am a Lovari and from the Chokeschi clan, and so was he!he told me right away to be a member on his web site, and so I did, then through this web site he told me that in Russia I have a lot of relitives,in Moscow to be ecxect, now I have found my grand fathers brother's grand children, great grand children, which are not children any more, one of them is a proffeser in a Russian federal universaty, and teaches our Gypsy Romani language and also other Languages, I was thrilled to know that there are almost 500 people of my clan, just in Moscow, Imagen in the whole of Russia, I wrote this relitive of mine in Sweden that I might go to visit them , God willing, and go on to Russia, this will be one of my happiest day of, my life
your friend Victor.
